William Alfonso McCoy, Jr. of Newark, NJ, passed on 14 May 2014. He was 73. He is buried at the Arlington Cemetery, Kearny, N.J. An accomplished writer of literature, poems, and short stories, he had published several novels, including "The Pimp". A longtime resident of East Orange, Alphonse joined the First UU Church of Essex County on 7 June 1998. He is survived by four sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews.
